Dispersal Order Implemented in Witham Following Firework-Related Disorder

witham
A dispersal order has been enacted in Witham, covering the entire town, in response to reports of firework-related disturbances.

The order was implemented shortly after 8 pm and will remain in effect until 1 am on Thursday, November 1.

This measure aims to proactively enable the police to prevent further incidents of anti-social behaviour during the night in Witham.

Acting Inspector Kevin Mayle stated, “This dispersal order has been put in place in light of the behaviour of a small minority of people behaving irresponsibly and dangerously. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy Halloween night, and this dispersal order gives us the powers to ensure that.”
