Essex, with its storied maritime heritage, has renewed its naval ties by affiliating with a Royal Navy vessel, reinforcing the county’s support for the armed forces. The frigate is poised to serve global missions for at least 25 years, equipped with a crew of 115 sailors and additional capacity for 70 more, once commissioned later this decade.
